Scholarship and preSAT Course Info

​(6 classes over a 3 week period)

 

  • Class 1 - Division 1, 2, and NAIA information and expectations. C.V. profile (1.5 hours)

  • Class 2 - SAT Math Skills (1.5 hours)

  • Class 3 - SAT English Skills (1.5 hours)

  • Class 4 - SAT Essay Skills (1.5 hours)

  • Class 5 - preSAT Test (4 hours)

  • Class 6 - Contacting coaches seminar, University research steps, preSAT Review and Extra Help (1.5 hour)

  • ($650) + tax

Course time and location: TBD based on participant's locations

The Scholarship and preSAT course is taught by Mikael 'Taylor' McNamara. He is an Ontario ceritified secondary school teacher who has been through the SAT writing process and successfully achieved a full soccer scholarship from a Division 1 program. He has developed this course to specifically cater to the Canadian student-athlete.

 

The course will teach students to:

 

  1. Give them an overview of the general GPA/SAT score expectations
     

  2. Create an athletic C.V.
     

  3. Develop appropriate strategies for contacting coaches
     

  4. Research post-secondary institutions based on student-athlete's likes and dislikes
     

  5. Develop Math and English SAT skills
     

  6. Improve SAT Essay writing skills
     

  7. Maximize SAT results based on probability
